b loody hell, you’re hard work
disgraceful, mine was OK.
but, it’s NOT called The Whelan.
i once paid £70+ for a lacoste jumper and that plucked as well.
well said mate
He would have called it The Dave Whelan Stadium if he had wanted to name it after himself. Obvious or what????????
is phil down one of those new young uns?
how would I know?
just another thought, why was the JJB not called the JJB Sports Stadium?
DW? Dave Whelan has named the Stadium after himself, I find that a bit arrogant. It’s the club’s stadium not his, this is a fans club. and the fans should have had a say in what the stadium was called. They should have drew up a shortlist and fans could have the chance to vote.Just my opinion, I don’t think the DW has the same ring to it as the JJB.
not true, it’s named after a sports firm. DW Sports.
and why did you say I hate you, I dont even know you, please dont flatter yourself
why do you refuse to call it the DW but are more than happy with JJB?
I find that very odd tbh.as for the geordies, they have more than enough reasons to moan after what they have been through recently.
still had 43000 turn up today, we can’t even get half of that in a league higher.0-0
15322are we meant to be impressed?
I miss it. It was the highlight of our season, and we took some good turn outs to footballing outposts like Barrow, Runcorn, and Alty.
Is it really 30 years ago when we played Northwich in that fog?my dad tells the tale of that match. didn’t you get bricked or something.?
thank for a good reply and taking the time, once again, to reply to me.
btw if your life is no more interesting than mine then you must be bored to fck.can’t say I miss it cos I wasn’t there.
but I can imagine how good it must have been going to non league grounds as the league team.
did latics win most of them are were they ‘giant killed’
Only game I remember when this happened was canvey island. -
