It’s safer than walking round Platt bridge!

In all seriousness there are a lot of news reports that misrepresent the situation. A lot of them to do with our pro-Israeli outlets and governance. However the country is beautiful and there is so much to gain from a direct experience in terms of understanding the conflict further. Hebron was tense last week and is one of a few hotspots that flare up on a weekly basis, but it is relatively safe most days. Just avoid it during an escalation in violence which to be honest will only last a Cpl of days. Friday afternoons are best avoided most places but with the right contacts you can experience the struggle at Friday demonstrations in safety around the west bank. Even if you don’t come for all that the place is great, steeped in history and the obvious challenges of occupation.

I’m out here for a while longer and if you want to come,, I live in Ramallah and would be more than happy to help you both out and point you in the right directions once you’re out here.

Just avoid weekend of 11th May :)
