Wigan Athletic has another International to add to their collection as Charles N’Zogbia will be handed his first Cap for France as they take on Norway in a friendly next week

Charles N’Zogbia is yet another product of Wigan Athletic’s growing number of players that have ‘got their chance’ at International level.

Zog is very excited to be named in France’s next squad that will take on Norway in a round of ridiculous friendlies that are scheduled just one week in to the new season, but he is determined to take his chance.

The 24-year-old is one of 15 uncapped players named in new boss Laurent Blanc’s first squad. The new manager has rung the changes for the game after deciding to suspend all 23 players involved in the World Cup fiasco plagued by failure and infighting under predecessor.

N’Zogbia told L’Equipe: “I’ve been waiting for this for a long time; this proves that, with hard work, you can get there. Even though my inclusion is due to the absence of the World Cup players, it is a good chance to show what I can do.

“We will see how it goes in Norway, but I know very well that now that I have been included by Les Bleus, the hardest thing will be staying there.”
