How do the experts see Wigan Athletic’s game against Birmingham City, let’s have a look at how the pundits and bookies see this game going at the weekend….
Mark Lawrenson has gone for a 2-1 Birmingham City win at St. Andrews on Saturday. The BBC pundit is currently winning the Cockney Latic Prediction League and that shows that he knows his stuff.
He said about his prediction; Yet again, Wigan looked very poor defensively in their defeat against Manchester City last weekend. Every time I’ve watched them on Match of the Day, they concede soft goals.
They should be making it difficult for the opposition but they end up giving them gifts, which has to stop. Birmingham did not have a great result last week either, losing to West Brom, but Alex McLeish has got a lot of resolve in his squad and I think they will bounce back here.
Of the Prediction League users (sponsored by Workit Recruitment) 16% are going for 2-1 to Latics, 18/1 on Betfair.
This is a big game for Latics as these are the teams that we need to be picking up results from. After our encouraging last second half against Preston midweek we should hopefully take advantage of BETFAIR’S very generous odds for Latics.
