How do the experts see Wigan Athletic’s game against Chelsea, let’s have a look at how the pundits, predictors and bookies see this game going at the weekend….
Mark Lawrenson has gone for a decisive 4-0 Chelsea win at the Bridge on the final day of the season. The BBC pundit, currently lying 4th in the Cockney Latic Prediction League and that shows that he knows his stuff, but then again he usually has us down for a loss – he predicted we would lose 0-2 against Chelsea, 1-2 against Liverpool and 0-3 to arsenal at home.
He said about his prediction; “Everyone knows just what is at stake for Chelsea and I just don’t see there being even a remote chance they will slip up and blow the title.
Wigan will offer resistance but they are a strange team. One day they are very, very good and the next day they are average. They may have beaten Chelsea earlier in the season but I think this game might be over at half-time.”
Of the Prediction League users (sponsored by Workit Recruitment) 16% are going for 3-0 to Chelsea, 13/2 on Betfair. It is no doubt a massive game for Chelsea, but as we have proved in the past, we generally play better against the big teams and with the incentive of a double over Chelsea coupled with the enormous pressure they will feel, we will hopefully give them a game and get a result.
Betfair, the fastest growing betting site in the UK, they have it going the way of a 2-0 Chelsea victory with odds of 6/1, 2-0 to the Latics is at 330/1 and 2-1 to Latics an 85/1 punt.
We are favourites to lose game at 1/8, but if you think we’ll nick we have odds of 30/1. So if betting is something you do, maybe a try of Betfair is something to consider.
Registration is easy, the odds are usually better than anywhere else (if there not you can ask for better) and to round it off, if your first bet loses they will refund it for you up to the value of £25. For instance, if you have £25 on Latics to beat Chelsea at 30/1 you will be paid £750, if Latics don’t win – you get your £25 back.
