To be honest I’d rather see Whelan selling players (like we always did to survive pre-Whelan) and trying to balance the books than to bring in some foreign owner, run up a load of debt and then go bust when they get bored.
People say we’ll miss out on a load of money if we go down, I don’t see it that way – being in the Premier League is starting to cost us (and every other club) big time. We’d probably be more financially secure in the Championship paying smaller wages to genuine footballers, not the mercenaries populating the Prem.
where do you think the tv income and other revenue goes -or do you think that whelan pays that out of his own pocket as well.
