A new 2 year sponsorship deal has been struck by Wigan Athletic with 12BET, the biggest sponsorship deal Latics have ever had.

A statement read:
Asian online sportsbetting and gaming site 12Bet.com has signed a two-year shirt sponsorship deal with English Premier League football team Wigan Athletic that could be the most lucrative in the club’s 79-year history.
Operated by Pacific Sea Invests SA, a remote gambling operator licensed and regulated in the Philippines, 12Bet.com offers products and services to the European and Asian markets and is the former shirt sponsor of top-flight Spanish side Sevilla.
The agreement will see the logo for 12Bet.com feature on all of Wigan’s replica shirts and training apparel excluding junior sizes for the next two seasons and contains an option for a third. The deal will also see the domain become the soccer side’s official betting and gaming partner and maintain a brand presence in and around the DW Stadium.
“We are delighted to join forces with Wigan Athletic, a sponsorship that will give us great exposure both in the UK and globally, providing the perfect platform to promote our core in-play football betting proposition,” said Rory Anderson, Chief Executive Officer Europe for 12Bet.com.
“We have always been impressed with the club’s ethos associated with loyalty, commitment and team spirit, values that sit closely with our own. We look forward to working closely with the club and its supporters to make this partnership a huge success.”
