How many of you thought this was going to be another ‘Wigan Athletic crowd’ piece? No this is the tremendous amount of money that has been collected so far from the Walk for Emma event that took place ehead of our game against Bolton, it was of course in aid of the Emma Hoolin Appeal.

So far the money raised from the walk4emma is £17,040.28, which is a tremendous effort from the Latics fans that made the trek from Wigan to Horwich. The legs must have really been hurting but the win will have made them forget about that on the day.

Heinz will be donating £740 andthere are also quite a few donations via justgiving in the period of 11th Feb – 29th Feb into the Emma Hoolin appeal that dont specifically mention the walk, so we can assume that this figure must have burst through the £18,000 mark.

Well done to all those involved and a big thank you to all those thta donated.
