I booed at half time out of sheer frustration at seeing one of the worst defensive displays i’ve seen in a long time. To be fair we turned it round in the 2nd half & could have won the game. I don’t boo usually BTW.
20 January 2013 at 3:28 am #100553So you should be.
20 January 2013 at 10:32 am #100559No need to be ashamed…you paid your money you can voice your opinion.
A jolly good boo was on the tip of my tongue at HT but I somehow managed to resist it.
We had their box loaded up several times and instead of getting the ball into the area we decided to play it back and sideways and back again until we eventually lost possession….
We had seen in the first few minutes that they were un organised and nervy at the back when they scored the own goal…???
20 January 2013 at 12:43 pm #100563How big of you, not to boo.
Is your Internet access directly linked to the premier league results? We only ever hear from you when we lose.
20 January 2013 at 12:47 pm #100564To be fair griff i accept my shame, but as i said, it was out of sheer frustration at once again gifting the opposition victory. I cant recall the last time we were beat fair & square by a better team on the day. To give us credit we responded well better in the 2nd half & could have actually won the game. Maybe, the half time boos gave them the proverbial kick up the backside they needed.

Chelsea’s form home v away this season is a prime example.

So you should be.nob
20 January 2013 at 4:12 pm #100578I will never boo the team no matter how bad they play as it serves no purpose other than to make you look a tit IMO.
First half yesterday was poor but to give credit to Sunderland they did not roll over after the first goal and seemed to have a good understanding of the way we play.
I was impressed their front man was making a serious effort to defend from the front and stop us passing across our back line as most teams seem happy to let us pass it around and wait for an our opportunity.
Once we went to a back four it was a complete switch around from the first half!
If I was Martinez (which I am not ;)) I would look to play a back four system either 4-3-3,4-2-2 or whatever it was yesterday against the teams around us and then play 3 at the back against the bigger teams to give us that extra man in our box.

It was more like a 2-5-3 in the second half yesterday. Not sure how that system would fair against the big clubs. I know what you are saying though. Attack is our best form of defence it seems. Perhaps why we always seem to play so well at the end of the season when we have nothing to lose.
20 January 2013 at 6:11 pm #100585Sorry mr eaststander, nothing else to confess to i’m afraid.

20 January 2013 at 6:26 pm #100590I Booed and am proud of it.
If I praised that crap and encouraged that crap, then I would be ashamed.20 January 2013 at 6:44 pm #100595I don’t boo but if people feel the need to get their disapproval across then surely it is their prerogative, the managers fully understand this and both they and the players are on enough money to be able to take some stick from the fans ! This fella knows the script!
The question is does booing have an adverse effect on players ? It would seem not in our case !

If I praised that crap and encouraged that crap, then I would be ashamed.I’d be ashamed of this latest persona. Arky per chance?
