i confess & am ashamed..

One or another whether it be through our season ticket are paying ridiculous fees to TV each month we contribute towards players wages which are ridiculous.If they try and give 100% towards the cause then I clap them off because I know that sometimes the other is better at the game than we are.
I booed against Bournemouth the other week because they were slacking and looked like they didn’t care about the result.That is totally unacceptable and I have no problem with anyone booing when we see lack of care and effort.
I saw lack of ability yesterday in the first half but no lack of effort so I clapped them off and shouted them on in the second half which I thought we shaded.The main issue yesterday was his team selection which I thought he got wrong with hindsight as Henriquez should have started instead of Gomez or Di Santo.
The finishing by Fletcher was top class and sometimes you hold your hands up although the rest of the Sunderland team (goalie and Fletcher excluded)are cr@p really.

We were diabolical its not hard to understand. Unless of course you prefer to live in cloud cuckoo land.

Griff I posted this a couple of weeks back after the draw at home against Bournemouth…

“It was good to see young Mr Fyvie having a good touch and being confident enough to make himself available for the ball…

Danny Redmond also looked a good prospect, pity he had to go in when it got dark though.

Mr Dicko also looked strong and eager for the small amount of time we saw him. Surely Mr Whelan could afford to give him a pair of shorts that fit.

We needed a bit more from the more senior players on the pitch but it wasnt to be.

Bournemouth were always going to be a good well orgainised team, their run of form clearly shows this. But our young team did quite well against them.

I hope Bob will risk a few more senior players next time out at Bournemouth, and then maybe go back to the young uns to try and beat Maccelsfield and get past that elusive FA cup 4th round jinx we seem to have.

A few tough decisions for Bob to make…survival is the main aim, but a nice cup run might be good for morale, for the team and the fans.”

Now I know that was the FA Cup and not a league match, but please dont accuse me of being completely negative all the time, because I am not. The Sunderland 1st half performance was dire, and imho the only reason we played better in the second is because they took their foot off the gas. We currently look like a team that’s been punching above it’s weight for far too long. That’s what I think and if/when that improves I’ll post something positive.
