boyce 8
bramble 7
Edman 7
diemme 7
thomas 7
scharner 8
zog 9
rodders 8
scotland 6
9 November 2009 at 12:29 am #12563Probably a fair shout – not 100% sure about Kirkland being a 7 – he just seems completely unable to command his box and Mario’s distribution was poor
9 November 2009 at 12:30 am #12564You forgot the decimal point before Scotland’s 6
9 November 2009 at 12:35 am #12565Kirklands distribution is terrible! He takes about ten mins to send a ball out and its always the same diagonal ball when others have more space!

From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!9 November 2009 at 2:39 am #12579I thought midfield didn’t push far enough forward, today.
Can’t recall much service to Scotland.
9 November 2009 at 12:29 pm #12590Was I the only one disappointed by Bobby’s decision to move our most potent attacking threat to left back late in the 2nd half?
Poor decision in my book, as was the decision to wait until the 90th minute to make the next change & Bobby’s substitutions in general disappoint me – no changing of the system if things aren’t workign or we’re chasing a game, just like for like changes9 November 2009 at 12:46 pm #12593Know what you mean, but I think it was the only option, with Edman tiring, and N’Zogbia being a left-footer. Plus, it gave Sinclair a run-out.
9 November 2009 at 12:49 pm #12595Theyve got no confidence in Scotland to score goals and you can see they think he breaks up attacks by going backwards. Look at the chance they had with Scotland free in the middle but Sinclair having 4 around him.
Edman was nackered although i think he had a great game. It was the only desicion i think!
9 November 2009 at 1:44 pm #12608I don’t think it was the only option at all
Edman could have gone off, Melchiot could have swapped to left back, Boyce could have moved to right back, Scharner could have dropped to centre half, formation could have changed to 4-4-2, N’Zogbia could have switched to left wing, Sinclair could have gone on the right wing & Rodallega could have moved up front
The back 4 wouldn’t have been ideal like that but IMO it would have been a far better option than moving our most potent attacking player on the day to left back & leaving Scotland up front on his todd.
Bobby seems happy to accept a point when we should have pushed on & tried to get all 3 there. Similar to the City game when they went down to 10 men & he didn’t go for the jugular. Don’t think its a trait he’s just developed either coz there are alot of Swansea fans who believe they drew far more games than they should have last season & that ultimately cost em a play off spot
9 November 2009 at 2:00 pm #12610Could have just played 3 at the back, not rocket science.
9 November 2009 at 2:25 pm #12612Its the whole is 1 better than 3 scenario, although when nevland went off with them going 451 i think we could of dropped to a back 3.
I think the right decision was made although i would of liked to of seen gomez as it was crying out for someone a bit creative in that last 3rd. In fact for the amount of headers and work scharner was doing i would of liked to of seen him going up front with Gomez behind.
The one for me that didnt ring true was the free kick with us waiting to put Koumas on. Why didnt we do that before the free kick giving us another option! As crap as he is he takes a decent free kick!

…and in the process totally disrupted the rest of the team. You actually answered your own question, there. :D
