      To kick off

People who never EVER go to football matches suddenly becoming ‘experts’ because a World cup is on and going down the pub with kits on and festooning their cars with flags and scarves.

Pundits who say that the Premier League is one of the hardest, most taxing etc. which is why England don’t do well.

Failing to notice that many of the top performing stars from elsewhere play in the Premier League too.

Even worse than that though, its normally these idiots who you’ll read about in the paper the day after England get knocked out when “Riot police called in to Keighley town centre after England lose” etc., or who are responsible for the spike in domestic violence incidents after England go out that I was hearing about on BBC Breakfast this morning or who sit in the pub crying after the defeat

…then they buy a season ticket when their local club makes it into the Premier League, and boo their team off at half time, refer to their manager as a Spanish Clown (etc), and ridicule their most creative player because he doesn’t tackle people like Norman Hunter…..

                #131734

Norman Hunter, Peter Storey, Nobby Stiles.

England aren’t the team they were.

                  What was all that about?

The build up, the expectation, then the disapointment :(

Are we still talking about the World Cup?

Players who roll over four or five times when they’ve tripped over another players leg !

Just been to the TT last week: William Dunlop crashes at 130 mph, gets up and walks away with his leg broken in two places. Can you imagine our footballing superstars in that situation !

World Cup barbequeues with England football team bouncy castles – I gate crashed ( don’t ask) one of these four years ago full of tipsy sunburnt parents and wild kids, suffice to say I didn’t stay long!
