If they are erecting statues of rugby players, in my opinion it should be of Shaun Edwards.He’s much more famous that Billy Boston ever was / ever will be in both codes of the game and he’s actually from Wigan.
Shaun Edwards….A face that could never be chiselled.

He’s not lived long enough yet and is still involved in the game, but rest assured it will happen at some point in the future.

Not a word about Council funding. So why don’t you set up a group to do the same for Latics’ legends. It’s simple. Isn’t it?
The main person that should be honoured, in a Latics sense, is Dave Whelan. Love him or Hate him none of the last 19 years or so would not have happened without him.
Even the most blinkered of Rugby fan would have to admit that without him they would not have been in existence. Oh alright they are to twisted to admit that.
