26 December 2015 at 2:43 pm #1463543 pts saved Fleetwood ere we come.Wouldn’t be too sure about Fleetwood being on on Monday
26 December 2015 at 2:52 pm #146356I blame Coyle
26 December 2015 at 3:20 pm #146357I don’t know, Leyland. We didn’t have games called off in his time. Caldwell has a lot to learn I’m afraid. It’s as though he has no plan B for torrential downpours.
26 December 2015 at 3:38 pm #146358Gutted for fans who are back home from afar for the holidays and planned to be there.

Tom Finney was all reet on waterlogged pitches as well!
26 December 2015 at 4:27 pm #146360Good one. i’m nicking that :)
26 December 2015 at 6:59 pm #146361Don’t think we should have sold Noah to Wolves, he didn’t shape too bad in the wet either.
26 December 2015 at 7:30 pm #146362Seen it all now, some idiot on the Wigan Council faceache site is blaming Dave Whelan for the flooding.
26 December 2015 at 10:39 pm #146363Good job we’ve got a few subs.
27 December 2015 at 12:43 am #146364Good job we’ve got a few subs.Don’t suppose that our “floaters” will be bothered too much.
27 December 2015 at 12:45 am #146365Not important when you see the shocking pictures of wigan folk without a habitable home tonight.
The roads around the stadium were awful and the river was spilling over so they made the right decision regardless of the pitch state.
good decision wigan27 December 2015 at 3:27 am #146366They should of played it behind closed doors and streamed it to us lol

good decision wiganWhat about the poor bar stewards in Wigan without a habitable home rain or no rain. Everyone knows where the flood plane is in Wigan, it just happens to contain the ambulance station, the fire station and the police station. Do I feel sorry for Asda, well nope, sort that roundabout out it just needs a couple of drains at the lower level.
The thing that as done me is if we were still in the prem our pitch WOULD have been playable and the game would have gone ahead.
From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!27 December 2015 at 4:27 am #146368Not 100% sure about that, John.
They don’t just look at the state of the pitch but also the infrastructure round, and with the Saddle shut and the car parks flooded I don’t think the police would have let it go ahead. -
