Morsy off to Barnsley for a massive £400,000.
The first of a what will be a few. Hence calling players back.
What a total cock up of a season.3 January 2017 at 4:08 am #153666Morsy was a complete disappointment when he played for us. I didn’t see anything in him that made me feel we should hang on to him. Not sure how much we paid for him but £400k seems a good deal for me.
Is he any better than the holding midfielders we have? Not in the same league as McDonald IMHO, its certainly not going to get me spitting my dummy out.
From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!3 January 2017 at 4:13 am #153667Heard tonight that Grigg has been told he can go in this window for offers around £2m.
I really like Will as a player, gives 100% and purrs around like a rolls royce, is he good enough for the championship? half a season says hes not. :(

What a journey!3 January 2017 at 4:54 am #153668Worked his socks off today again JR. Something isn’t quite right though at Latics. Just a feeling many of us have. Not just since Joycey came but something more.
From ectasy in May to that awfull pre-season and first quarter and second quarter something just isn’t right.
Nothing at all as been learned from that last season in the Championship.
As anyone got a clue what the hell is happening.3 January 2017 at 6:15 am #153669Heard tonight that Grigg has been told he can go in this window for offers around £2m.I really like Will as a player, gives 100% and purrs around like a rolls royce, is he good enough for the championship? half a season says hes not. :(
Watch him as soon as he leaves and has decent coaches around him.
3 January 2017 at 10:40 am #153670The problem is though is if/when we get relegated whose the ideal striker well need in league one. Selling because we don’t think he can play at this level may not be the best idea.
3 January 2017 at 1:13 pm #153671Nahki Wells would do.

Won’t sign in Championship either.
3 January 2017 at 2:30 pm #153683The problem is we are not good enough for this division, it really is that simple. We got relegated had a decent League One squad that won a pretty poor division that particular season and then didn’t strengthen in accordance when we came back up, it ain’t rocket science! Now let’s see what sort of money is available and see if Joyce can bring in his own players to replace the substandard players in our squad ( About 80% ) it will take a few windows to achieve this mind!
3 January 2017 at 3:18 pm #153689Tongue in cheek the Nahki Wells comment. He will go for ten million plus at some stage.
Shame we didn’t sign him when we were strongly linked to bring him from Bradford.
Huddersfield with a much lower budget than us nipped in and his goals are firing them up the league.3 January 2017 at 3:19 pm #153690The problem is we are not good enough for this division, it really is that simple. We won the league above Barnsley and Burton yet both are doing better than us. As last time we will be relegated needlessly through piss poor decisions off the field. What is it going to take before Sharpey and co realise and admit their mistakes. We could have a dozen transfer windows signing decent players but without professional leadership this downward spiral is going to continue. When one or two guys go off the boil you can maybe lay the blame with the said players but when lads from the development / academy squad and first team squad fail miserably and when players loaned out dread the prospect of returning then you have to look at the coaching staff. Ours are rank amateurs. Who was the last player to come through the system and make the first team squad for the majority of a season? We all had high hopes for Cosgrove, Flores and Chow. You can only blame the players so far our problems are a whole lot deeper than that.

Morsy is the new Espinoza: getting better with each game he doesn’t play.
He’s decent but certainly no better than McDonald.
I think we’re missing Gilbey and another decent attacking midfielder – as Powell is proving to be a huge disappointment.
3 January 2017 at 4:07 pm #153694Morsy is that shit he is currently a regular in a team sitting 8th in the Championship.
