There was a post on Facebook recently asking people to state things they remember as a kid, that younsters may not understand these days and there were some great replies.
So come on Latics fans lets have a go on here, it doesn’t have to be just oldies, if you were a kid when we won the Cup, and you remember something other than BW’s goal, lets hear about it, or on the other hand, if something happened on an away trip to Goole in the 70’s mention that.
It doesn’t have to be funny, or even that strange an happening, just something relating to watching this great club of ours.
I’m sure we can get some good replies from the diverse posters on here, don’t be scared, anything goes on CL as you already know.

An early memory for me was travelling to Gt Harwood in bright sunshine only to get there and it being snowed off.

Do you remember the time at Crewe when we went in Bermuda shorts etc for the last game of the season, and at half time I turned round and you were sat on the terrace three steps up and both your bollox were nestled on the terrace having popped out of an hole in your crotch????
Red hot that day. Terrace kept my stones cool.What I can’t get my head round though, is why you did’t have any undies on.

I was 9 and it’s the first game I remember as a kid as my dad was laughing at all the Wigan fans who’d left, swearing and vowing never to come back (somethings never change), then trying to get back into the ground as the Wigan goals started to go in.
Enduring Stafford Rangers time wasting for 89 minutes, scoring the winner in the 90th minute and Maurice Whittle sitting on the ball as pay back.

Anyone remember Hufty, the time warp skinhead from Hereford who abused the Latics fans single handedly for 90 minutes in the pouring rain after the club had moved the other 50 or so Hereford fans into the Pheonix Stand.
