Just to garner opinion like……………..
31 December 2009 at 2:25 am #16578Give the F**cker some money like every other manager and he might stand a chance.
31 December 2009 at 3:41 am #16626Holding his own pretty well at the moment.
31 December 2009 at 11:25 am #16661Might just be a case of the vocal minority on here then……………………. ;)
31 December 2009 at 1:19 pm #16685Stay.
Give him some financial backing Whelan.
31 December 2009 at 1:27 pm #16687Stay.
He’ll be ther best manager in the Championship next season ;)
31 December 2009 at 1:40 pm #16692I honestly can’t decide.
But I think the problem is a lot more to do with players attitudes. Then again, is that not the managers job to sort out?
Relegation may be a blessing. Clear out the mercenaries, and get some solid pro’s in, like in the style of the promotion side. Hungry players. Not players looking for a move as soon as they’ve signed.
Might be better cutting our losses now, selling any player who someone comes in for at the best price possible, taking the parachute payment, and re-building a strong, battling, squad. Seem to remember Bolton doing similar a few years back. Defeatist? No, just trying to say we’d be better players going now, rather than becoming a bargain-basket in the summer.
I think we’ll know what Whelan is thinking, over the course of the next month.31 December 2009 at 2:09 pm #16699So far there is a large majority in favour of keeping the manager.
With where we are in the league and having the worst goal difference in the league I feel that is a great testament to the patience and understanding of the Latics fans.
Give Bobby a chance he is the best option for us in the long run.
Up the Tics!
31 December 2009 at 2:18 pm #16700if he dont change his 1 up front shit he can go, he got to have a rethink on tactics
31 December 2009 at 4:56 pm #16721A resounding ‘go’ from me. The state of the back 4 after being generally well organised last season is enough for me. Poor coaching has led to them having no organisation and a keeper who has regressed under a new gk coach (add to his now more frequent injuries).
Now chuck in signs of back-biting and player dissent amongst each other and towards the staff and we’re starting to see a recipe for disaster well in the making. I take on board everyone’s pleas for giving him money to spend but the culture in the club sounds like we’d need 10 new players, all who need to guarantee an improvement from the off in what we have and that just doesn’t happen.
