Then let us know what it is here…..
On Wednesday 7th March we are holding a meeting which will consist of representatives within the playing and non-playing staff, the 2 SLOs and 8 representatives from all sections of the Wigan Athletic fan base. Put your question as a reply to this post and we will get answer for you. Similarly if you have any ideas, get it over to us…FA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that
26 February 2018 at 9:56 pm #166956Jason, you’re great and certainly deserve the award you got. Thanks.
My positives …. 1. anyone I have had dealings, in person, with / at the club have been great. Ticket office people are always fun and helpful. Shop staff are good. Stewards always friendly and helpful.
2. At last … the Manager and players come to say thanks to the fans, home or away, and so they should. It should be a part of their job description. A lot of people pay good money and travel a distance to watch them. The least they can do is say thanks. A bit like performers at the theatre doing the same.
3. My gripe!! For various reasons I have written to people at the club on a few occasions and have only once ever got a reply. I think it is a simple courtesy to reply to a letter or e mail and sort of rude not to, especially if specific questions are asked. Even a kind acknowledgement wouldn’t go a miss and isn’t difficult.
4. There seem to be a few odd ticket pricing decisions, which get a lot of criticism on the forum, but I don’t think anything we say will change anything there. Bring senior tickets down from 65 to 60 is my request.
I think generally the club do pretty well, and you do very well. Thanks.
26 February 2018 at 10:01 pm #166957My only beef is regarding the South stand.
Been a season ticket holder in the South stand since the North stand moved to the away supporters stand.
I accept that the concourse is too small especially when the stand is anywhere near it’s full capacity but how am I expected to make my way from SS2 at half time to either the toilets or the central catering kiosk, queues stretch from the serving area of the kiosk right to the back of the stand most fans are reluctant to leave a gap in the queue.26 February 2018 at 10:23 pm #166959A suggestion re. season cards. A good number of years ago we had something called a Take Five which was a booklet of 5 tickets for any five matches. Fans could purchase up to 4 books. The cost of these could be dependent on number of books bought. If you bought 4 then 3 games could be thrown in for free.
This could reward fans who go to most games and also give incentives to fans who could maybe make 5,10 or 15 matches. Just an idea.26 February 2018 at 11:01 pm #166961I’ve also never had a reply to an email! Common courtesy in my book, regardless of subject or sender!
26 February 2018 at 11:14 pm #166962Having made my point about not responding …. I have on a couple of occasions enclosed a stamped and self addressed envelope – and never got that back. By way of contrast I had a very ill friend who supported Derby. I wrote to them and asked if they could do anything for him ….. very soon after he received a card signed and messaged by many players. He was chuffed to bits. Nowt like that from WAFC for a Wigan fan who was ill and i asked the same. Shame.
26 February 2018 at 11:19 pm #166963Bring back Crossbar Challenge ..
27 February 2018 at 12:56 am #166967Bring back Crossbar Challenge ..In that case …… bring back the music when we score! And I am actually serious!!
Improve the rubbish PA ‘sound system’.
Get a big screen video replay thing.
27 February 2018 at 1:36 am #166968Under no circumstances or under any conditions should they bring back the music when we score.
27 February 2018 at 1:40 am #166970Cut out all the racket before kick off. It doesn’t add anything to the match day experience other than an headache and it kills any chance of some kind of an atmosphere building up.
27 February 2018 at 1:42 am #166971Promote the person who put on Wonderwall at the end of the Citeh game.
That was a brilliant touch.27 February 2018 at 1:54 am #166972Under no circumstances or under any conditions should they bring back the music when we score.Off topic I know. But why not? It is clearly a marmite issue, but what is it, why do people hate it so much??
I liked it because I thought it added to the atmosphere and cranked it up, although I admit it was a bit embarrassing when we were many down, and it was a ‘no use goal’. I thought it added to the overall fun of the afternoon.
Why do others hate it so much?

Do you take a hamper to matches, buy those half and half scarves and enjoy Gillett Soccer Saturday?
Just wondering like……
27 February 2018 at 2:38 am #166974Why can we not have free WiFi in the ground? Many public places have it, I was in Leeds a few months ago and all the main shopping areas had it.
Most fans like to keep an eye on the scores from other matches and whilst there is no free WiFi in the ground, the mobile networks are hit and miss with some days no signals at all.
Surely the club WiFi could be shared with the fans. From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!27 February 2018 at 4:13 am #166976Definitely not music.
I’d like to see a regular screen and it offers more advertising opportunities with corners, goal kicks and throws all being sponsored.
There isn’t too much I would change though.
