Defender linked with us today after being let go by his club in Germany
31 December 2009 at 4:45 pm #16720Another local lad……..
Bet he’s free.
Bet he dreams of a big move.
I wish we’d fu*k off signing these mercenaries. Christ.
31 December 2009 at 4:59 pm #16722Never heard of him.
31 December 2009 at 5:11 pm #16725Never heard of him. :lol:Exactly! Whilst we mess about going for obscure players, other clubs go for better quality. It’s just said that Fulham are after an Italian U21 striker on loan.
Get to clubs like Velez Sarsfield, Boca Juniors, etc. Instead of bloody targetting players from Swaziland, or wherever.
I said last night that the quality of players we go for has diminished. And Roberto can frig off with these “we need to be clever with our signings” comments. In other words “my hands are tied because tight-wad won’t give”. Time for the pert-bottomed Spanish one to show his balls, and TELL, not ask, Whelan what he wants
SSN are already egging the N’Zogbia move on, and are already throwing one out over Spurs and Redknapp’s possible transfer dealings.

er wasn’t Chimbonda, Palacious, Valencia etc fairly obscure?

John did you not realise we are real wigan and can sign any world class player we want? Some of the people on this forum would have us up to the neck in debt and struggling to pay players wages ala pompey……..
31 December 2009 at 9:13 pm #16743If he is an Ivory Coast defender, will he not be nobbing off for 4 weeks as soon as he gets here? :?

The irony. Yeah obscure. Came here, jumped ship as soon as possible, most fans thinking “Oh, we’ve made a tidy sum there, we can replace”.
But no.
I’m just cheesed off with signing weird foreigners. Most of them have the loyalty of an Italian in WW2. This N’Zogbia thing has really annoyed me.
I just want us to bring in some British lads. I’m hoping Watson will get a fair chance, now he’s back. How many foreigners did the promotion/first season team have? And the ones we did have, had experience. Chimbonda was a rare find. A class player, but a mercenary attitude.

1 January 2010 at 4:23 pm #16793Yeah, whilst most people were pis*ing their money up the enamel last night, I was actually out working.
I say ‘working’, but standing on a stage for 70 minutes and getting paid a ridiculous sum for doing so really was a pleasure. The highlight was undoubtedly being surrounded by scantily clad girls whilst performing Michael Bublé’s ‘Haven’t Met You Yet’. Very nice actually.
So much so in fact, that I’m off shopping tomorrow. Probably get a new flat-screen TV for upstairs, some clothes, and possibly book a holiday as well.
Quite a productive evening I’d say. :D
Cheers

I bet your fat
1 January 2010 at 7:09 pm #16822No. I WAS fat.
But having lost 4 stone through 2009, I’m looking Geeerrrrdddd.
Thirtytwoyears-I don’t want to be anything. I do it for the same reason as a bloke paints a house, or someone drives a bus.
££££££££££££££££££££’s.
The fact that people see fit to pay me to do what I do, says everything.
Or I could claim dole. What would you do?
