We definitely didn’t miss our own mud patch. The better standard of pitch allowed the ball to flow, which suited our runners.
Great effort from every single Latics player tonight !9 March 2021 at 9:28 pm #191632Some of the players are really coming into form now. I’m particularly pleased for Jamie Jones to have a great game.
9 March 2021 at 9:30 pm #191633Tilt and Jones were excellent. Gav Massey looking good too.
9 March 2021 at 9:33 pm #191634Thought Robinson & Johnston combined well, to take care of the left side of defence.
9 March 2021 at 9:46 pm #191635I’m starting to really like Ojo too. What a team we’d be without all the injuries, might even give last years team a game?
This team, all 500 of them who will have played for us by the end of the season, will be legends if we stay up.

Up the 500 Tics!

But but but its the fat sweaty egg-chasing gravy-stained cuckoo lodgers playing their tin-pot sport that ruins the pitch…..
10 March 2021 at 7:23 am #191641Not having any money to repair and feed the pitch you moron. The groundstaff have done what they can but without the basics like grass seed or up light, what can they do?
Agree with all (but mutty), Massey and Jones have been disappointing this season, but lately have showed they are up for it.10 March 2021 at 7:42 am #191645Players are looking like a unit now, I know we have to keep grounded as its only 2 games, going to Wimbledon and put some daylight between us and them.

Great effort from every single Latics player tonight !We played MK Dons off that mud pitch on Tuesday! We played Plymouth off their immaculate pitch last night! don’t see your point.
10 March 2021 at 10:13 am #191673OK, MK Dons apart; there are lots of our home games when the pitch hasn’t helped a style of play that demands accurate passing to well timed runs and we have resorted to hit and hope. Last night our passing accuracy was much better on a more predictable surface and we got lots of balls into our wide runners.
Actually the pitch against MK Dons was better than it has been for the last three months.
10 March 2021 at 11:09 am #191686Not sure we can blame the pitch for losing 5-0
12 March 2021 at 8:45 pm #191751I don’t think the pitch is the issue, but we have seemed to play better away from home for some reason.
10 April 2021 at 5:27 pm #192177I still think “what a difference a pitch makes” !
Will celebrate with a glass of red rom the Puglia region of Italy, made by the Appassimento method
10 April 2021 at 7:38 pm #192182Is that a new addition to the cellar LHL or a vintage where the dust has to be blown off.
