Martinez interview on Sky Sports:-
http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528, … 56,00.html
This guy has ben spouting the same old retoric for at least 12 months. Instead of Sky keeping interviewing him. Why don’t they just replay the same interview. As it’s the same story “Unlucky” “Self Inflicted” ” 5 players Missing” “Got to learn” “Disallowed Goal made a difference” etc. etc. Never once has he admittted to making the wrong team selection. It’s everybodies fault except mine…. Oh! one change. From saying “Goals don’t matter” its’ now “Goals are a major aspect of the game”
Well Roberto you’ve just told me something I have been unaware of after watching football for 50 years. As they say “You Live And Learn”27 November 2010 at 11:20 pm #51805Martinez interview on Sky Sports:-

Well Roberto you’ve just told me something I have been unaware of after watching football for 50 years. As they say “You Live And Learn”He has to go and if he loved the club as much as he says he would do the decent thing and resign.
27 November 2010 at 11:23 pm #51806Well turning up dressed like that would have put the lads in an upbeat mood eh !! You are what you wear and what you wear reflects your mood and so therefore I can only assume he was not in the best of spirits pre kick off either !! Dead man walking me thinks !!
27 November 2010 at 11:45 pm #51812It’s his whole demeanor which is completely unatural in a sport like football. He stands there with arms folded for the whole 90 minutes. Shows no emotion, if we score or let in a goal, and has Graham Jones, like a little errand boy, running up to him, saying something in his ear then going back to the bench. It ain’t natural. He must be the only person in the whole stadium week in week out who dosen’t show any passion whatsoever.
You can say what you want about managers like Mick McCarthy and Ian Holloway at least they show some emotion, which must have some effect on the team.
However if a team lets in a goal and they look across at a manager who is stood there, like something out of Madame Tussaudes. What message does that portray :?28 November 2010 at 12:00 am #51814Well turning up dressed like that would have put the lads in an upbeat mood eh !! 28 November 2010 at 1:10 pm #51850The only time Martinez moves during a game is when one of our players does a sh*t pass or knocks it out of play. His response to this is clapping!

Have you ever actually played sport? It’s encouragement ‘Keep it going, never mind’ etc, and is what most coaches do rather than scream at you every time you make a mistake. Do you honestly think he claps misplaced passes?29 November 2010 at 2:24 pm #51938I know that he is not clapping the misplaced passes. I was making the point that this is the only thing that gets a reaction from him
29 November 2010 at 3:03 pm #51944I know that he is not clapping the misplaced passes. I was making the point that this is the only thing that gets a reaction from himWhy does he need to go bouncing around and shouting and screaming like an idiot? When he can stand still, remain calm and still be labelled an idiot.
Neil Warnock, for one, used to rant and rave. Didn’t do him a lot of good in this league, did it?
29 November 2010 at 3:27 pm #51949I know that he is not clapping the misplaced passes. I was making the point that this is the only thing that gets a reaction from himHow do you know that? Do you watch him for the full game? Each to your own and all that, but I prefer to watch the action on the pitch.
When a pass is misplaced, vast swathes of the crowd groan and automatically look at the manager for someone to blame.
When someone has a good shot, or a great pass is put through, the crowd applaud and nobody looks at the manager. Next time, look to see if the manager is applauding and trying to keep the momentum going.
As Griff has said, why jump up and down for the duration of a game? For a majority if the time, the players can’t even hear what is being shouted from the bench anyway.29 November 2010 at 3:42 pm #51952I know that he is not clapping the misplaced passes. I didn’t think the cameras panned over that often on the foreign channels! -
