Paddy’s Day gets so much hype, yet I have not seen or heard anything to indicate that tomorrow is St George’s Day, our Patron Saint’s Day.
Why is that??
How many actually realise (or care) that it is happening???

Happy St Georges day fellas.24 April 2011 at 12:06 pm #64015Seemingly a pub in Manchester was closed by police on Saturday because they were singing Rule Brittania and it was causing offence. (according to a friend on facebook) Hope that that’s not true.

Quite likely it was closing time and the plod were trying to get people out.
There are a whole raft of reasons why the police would “close” a pub.
