Was a cracking player until he was viciously assaulted at Sjoke and he never seemed to get his confidence back.

Not sure about that.
He was always a “confidence player”. Some games he could run at defences and torment them, in others if they had the measure of him he was anonymous.
The problem was that as we moved up the leagues there were more defenders who could keep him quiet. A good Championship/Scottish Prem level player who served us well.

True, he was a confidence player. Certainly had it in those few months after JR signed.

Wasn’t that Paul Dalglish that swapped sides to avoid him? :think:5 July 2011 at 9:44 pm #68342He was always a “confidence player”. Some games he could run at defences and torment them, in others if they had the measure of him he was anonymous.
