Fund raising has been going well for the Anthony Ramsdale appeal as Wigan Athletic fans show their unity. This Friday sees the first event of many to help edge towards that £4,000 so Anthony could have the armchair that would his life easier.

The First Avenue Soul Night event will take place at the Whelley Ex-Servicemen’s Club on Vauxhall Street, Scholes WN1 3LU and all Latics fans still have an opportunity to be part of it.

Latic’s United issued this stement:
Over £320 has been raised already in the form of advance ticket sales and donations but we are still a long way off our target of £4,000 to be raised to pay for Anthony Ramsdale’s armchair.

We are hoping that Friday night will go a considerable way to raise the funds required but please, please donate whatever you can, if you can to this great cause as we intend to show the Ramsdale family just what a great community Latics fans can be.

To make a donation, go to www.laticsunited.co.uk and click the Paypal donate button.

You can also buy advance tickets for Friday’s event from the Latics United website, tickets are priced at just £5. Or if you prefer to, you can just turn up on the night but please get there early as a packed house is anticipated as Soulies and Latics fans eagerly look forward to the event.

The event is being held to raise funds for Anthony Ramsdale, son of Bernard Ramsdale, the editor of the Ye Olde Tree & Crown website. Anthony suffered permanent brain damage as a result of a serious car accident and needs this chair desperately to help with his rehabilitation.
