I never understand why a forward or attacking player is over the ball at corners. There’s enough midfielders, defenders to do that.
We’ve one or two players who are half decent in the air who could attack that. Martinez thing that, didn’t Martinez once say at Wigan, “A goal from a direct free kick is not a proper goal” (or words to that effect).
I know I keep barking on about it but watch the Derby Bolton games then watch some recent games. We’ve changed or style completely. Up front we are totally toothless. If we had one player up front who players around can identify as “Get it to him” we’d be clear of the drop in a month.
Players are playing like individuals when we enter the last third or box clueless as to who’s the guy because it ain’t Magennis for me. For huge chunks of that game he offered nothing, zero ziltch squat diddly nothing bar put us offside
