I’m new to this forum but not to watching Latics. (over 30 years). I know all this stuff about Roberto being a Latics legend, which I understand. I did predict to a number of friends at the beginning of the season that his shortcomings as a manager would become apparent this season and he would be found out.
If it was any other man Whelan would have sacked him by now. I am not into sacking managers without giving them a chance but surely it is time for him to be replaced. His signings are questionable, tactics and team selection inept and he does not have the calibre of players to play the style of football we play. Playing one up front particularly at home is too negative. We have basically just carried on where we left off last season. No progress. I know all you Roberto fans out there wont like it but where is our next three points coming from. I thought at the start of the season there would be three teams worse than us. I now don’t think so.
