As for Martinez being wrong for the club because we’ve lost a couple of games, I remember when Chris Hutchings was manager we were (briefly) top of the league but then lost 8 games in a row and then he got sacked… after Jewell went and then Hutching’s, we decided to bring Bruce back and it worked for only to show he true colours and sod off to Sunderland for more money.. again, and who can really blame him? if someone offers you a better job with more money you not going turn it down.
That’s where we come to Roberto Martinez he knows exactly what he’s doing and what he wants that is why he turned down the villa job! yeah he’s not having the best of times at the min but I find it funny how people want him out after he sown such loyalty to the club!
Yes there are flaws in Martinez theory especially on the new players.. Albert Crusat for one how he hasn’t started regularly is beyond me.. the same with David jones and how he’s pressing for a starting place but you have got to think that is the way Rodallega was brought in and look where he is now, yeah we’ve lost the last set of matches but when you think, Boyce was injured (now on his way back but still not fit), Stam god knows why he isn’t playing but he’s recently coming back into the squad but still isn’t fit, Alcaraz is injured, Patrick Van Annholt is a young player who hasn’t played against this quality of footballers.
Figueroa isn’t at his best but probably just a phase, and il be honest I don’t rate Gary Caldwell.. yes he’s our captain and he a regular for Scotland but that just my opinion.
Then you have Boselli situation and i am not afraid to say it I have slagged him off but then when you think about it.. he deserves another chance.. last season we were all slagging off Franco Di Santo for doing nothing and look he’s our top goal scorer this season after being given a chance.
But this is the Wigan that we know yeah were not the best in league yes were going to get slated for our attendances and players we buy.. are we going to be like Nottingham Forest and Bristol city and get rid of our manager as soon as things go tits up.. and get us into even more trouble! Were never going to be the best team in the world with the best players (for a while at least :D ) but we still should get behind our club! Anyway thats my opnion..
