Let’s get a couple of points straight –
a/ The pitch did not lose us any points tonight.
b/ The pitch was showing signs of damage before the rugby season started.
That being said, let’s not persist with the myth football does more damage to the pitch than the rugby, the pitch was an absolute disgrace tonight, it wouldn’t be acceptable in League 2, nevermind the Premiership.
It’s now time to demand no rugby games are played at he DW Stadium until the football season ends.
I used to think football causes more/no less damage than rugby but I no longer do so after watching that Warriors game last Friday.
Players getting back to their feet and that ridiculous play the ball farce causes more divotage* than, say, a slide tackle in football.
* made-up word, but i like it.
