On this day 2008, Latics effectively ended Chelsea’s hopes of winning the Premier League crown as Emile Heskey banged in a very late equaliser to not only record our first point against the Blues, but also handed the title on a plate to Manchester United.

You’re right, I was going to pick him up on it because I remember it being a Monday night and wondered how this could be as today is a Wednesday.
Then, I cleverly remembered that 2008 was a leap year but then realised that as we are in May, that makes no difference either.
