On the 17th February 1923, F.N.S. Creek scored 10 of Corinthians goals in their 15-2 win over the Army at Crystal Palace. He was one of four players who scored more than 100 goals for the club; G.O. Smith, C.T. Ashton and A.G. Daggart being the others. He played one full international for England, against France in 1923, and five amateur internationals. He was also the author of many instructional books on the game and was connected with the F.A. coaching and selection panels for England’s amateur team until he retired in Septembe 1963. On his amateur international debut he scored four goals against Wales in 1922 and this remained an outright record until equalled by David Hyde of Hendon in 1964.
