      This day in 1979 saw us play the first of three away games on the trot in six days. We travelled to Scunthorpe United where 1,582 fans saw Tommy Gore score the only goal in a 1-0 win at Old Show Ground (thanks Neil, memory deserted me there).

                Thanks for that, I have gone goggle eyed looking at results and info from certain days…. Of course Scunthorpe did only move into Glanford Park in 1988, Kevin Keegan played there in the first game!!!
