1] nobody has offered £10 mill for the Club and Phoenix are holding out for £12 .. you gamble £x .. fail .. and are offered 84% back .. you’d snatch their hand off ..
2] The Stadium .. the lodgers cannot and will NEVER [ want ] be able to take it on ! Again.i’ll give you their latest ‘Published Accounts ‘ info ” £1.9 million LOSS ,, average att .. ‘ Officially ‘ 8713 .. let that sink in for them , and others who invade our sitewith total and utter bullshit about the towns sporting hierachy ..! The lodgers and the Council are shitting themselves about us folding .. . Leneghan may appear to be someone who will ‘ see us off ‘ , Stadium wise .. but it isn’t gonna happen . .. I may despise the bastards .. but I sure as hell know every nook and cranny about them ..ps ..11 May 2023 at 9:11 pm #199642Nobody is going to offer £10m for a stadium that needs money spent on it and generates no profit and a squad of overpaid 30 something’s that nee fucker wants (not even the club they are currently contracted to). They only paid £3m for it with no players and therefore no unwanted shite so what makes them think that a £13m wage bill for a crock of shite is an attractive prospect.
Owners need to give their heads a wobble and realise they are going to have to accept a very large loss on this deal – probably in the region of £20m to get shut.
11 May 2023 at 9:15 pm #199643Damn right the Warriors don’t want the stadium. But if the liars can’t afford it, it may end up being the least worst option.
IL can sustain a £1.9m loss, but he sure as hell can’t sustain a £13m loss, which is the likely figure for this football season.
11 May 2023 at 10:06 pm #199644Without us at that stadium it will be knocked down. We have 2 codes who need a home And a council who don’t give a fcuk.
Can you imagine the boot on the other boot? Nandy would be auctioning her old draws off to save the rugby
12 May 2023 at 6:16 am #199645The other thing is, is a sports stadium which is it’s sole purpose. The only 2 clubs in the vicinity are us and the beach whales.
It would serve no other purpose empty. Without regular maintenance it would fall apart in no time. It’s not like both rugby and football move out and you can turn it into a A-B-C warehouse or a supermarket it’s a sports stadium.
I’m sure if it came to it, the council would gladly grant permission for the rugby to develope next door while we go looking for a tenancy that’s the sad nature of it all. We’d be homeless while the rugby get grant after grant. There’s no way on this planet the rugby would buy it, it’s far too big and the running cost (even when not used) too costly.
They have options if we go under but we don’t that’s the sad truth of the matter. We have two codes desperate for a place to play. Our council have no trouble finding money for some mad cap regeneration of a market with half the shops in town already dead. They should take on the ground and rent it back to both of us securing both clubs future

Didn’t work out too great for Coventry and Wasps, that scenario did it?
Away a lot, but always watching
