In 1985 5,214 watched at Field Mill as an own goal by George Foster of Mansfield Town helped us to a 1-1 draw at full time in our Northern Section Final Freight Rover Trophy. The game had to be decided on Penalties where Latics went through 3-1 and sealed a Final at Wembley on June 1st.

I was that chuffed that night i drove all the way back in 4th gear in the works Fiat fiorino forgetting it had 5 gears . Good job it was the firms fuel lol.B4 anyone comments i stayed all the game !!!!!
