Last time i checked you only need to score 1 goal to win a football game.
what if the other team scores one?
Glad you felt the need to point that out, even though you knew exactly what i mean’t.
I’ll roll my eyes now shall i? [/quote]
I was going to comment on this to say that there was no need to make this comment as to be honest what you said IS true. You do only NEED to score one. Nobody mentioned the other team scoring. He was being awkward.

Last season, if my memory serves me correctly, Parakeetsbestfriend didn’t post any positive comments about Wigan Athletic.
So the question is, will Parakeetsbestfriend even manage it once this season? Personally I doubt it!

Don’t recall much from ‘Parakeetsbestfriend’ last season. Sure you got the right person as the regular ‘Parakeet’ is very Anti-Latics.
14 October 2010 at 12:13 pm #48678As soon as there is something positive about Wigan Athletic to post, I will do. With this guy in charge the only positives are in his mind after a heavy defeat. The fact that the crowds are dropping off alarmingly says it all. Our ticket office staff must love their jobs, go to work, do jack all day coz nobody comes or phones, then go home! Easy!

I can understand people who come on here to wind people up, but it is a sad state of affairs for someone to come on here and continually moan. Tell you what move on in life and do something else, support somone else as your not wanted here.
This is a local club for local people, dont you know. !
14 October 2010 at 5:50 pm #48693Tell me some positives then. Because I cant think of many.
14 October 2010 at 6:45 pm #48694Tell me some positives then. Because I cant think of many.Given who we are and the limited resources at our disposal, apart from the two opening games I think the results so far have been positive and we have a points total in accordance with what MOST supporters would have expected at this stage.
14 October 2010 at 6:55 pm #48696Tell me some positives then. Because I cant think of many. The fact we even have a football club (let alone a top flight one) in rugby leagues back yard.
14 October 2010 at 7:01 pm #48697Tell me some positives then. Because I cant think of many. Our back line is looking stronger and stronger and our team looks like it is starting to gel.
Players that weren’t doing well last season are showing their skill (I.e Gomez)14 October 2010 at 7:09 pm #48699We have only lost one game in the last seven.
Only conceeded 4 goals in the last seven games (after a disastrous start)
We beat Spurs
We’re in the last 16 of the Carling Cup
We are financially OK due to good management
N’Zogbia is looking like he is bothered
McCarthy looks to be a belter
Al Habsi is performing superbly
8 points from 7 games, better than the point a game average we need
Alcaraz looks the part, possibly better than Bramble
Caldwell yet to play and so will strengthen when fit
Options on the bench with Moses and others chomping
at the bit
Boselli and Di Santo will hopefully hit the ground soon
Playing against two teams we should be beating next
Gomez has had a good game and looks like he can build on it.
We aren’t in Liverpool’s current predicament
The pitch looks goodFA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that

We have only lost one game in the last seven. We have only won 4 all season, 2 against lower league opposition.
We are financially OK due to good management
If you call £30m in debt financially ok then I wouldn’t like to see your credit card bill!!
N’Zogbia is looking like he is bothered
He has to, he wants a move in January for christs sake.
8 points from 7 games, better than the point a game average we need
If your happy with another season of fighting relegation then suppose thats your choice.
Alcaraz looks the part, possibly better than Bramble
That one made me smile
Caldwell yet to play and will strengthen when fit
Whats positive about someone who hasn’t yet played this season and would probably struggle to keep up with me when fit, never mind premier league footballers!
Options on the bench with Moses and others chomping
at the bitChomp at the bit all you like. If Moses is that good why does he never get a game?
Boselli and Di Santo will hopefully hit the ground soon
Thats never a positive in a million years!
Playing against two teams we should be beating next
Another non positive, why the hell ‘should’ we be beating them. They’re probably saying the same about us you know.
Gomez has had a good game and looks like he can build on it.
So thats 1 good game in ……. I cant even be bothered looking.
We aren’t in Liverpool’s current predicament
Your right there. We dont get 40 odd thousand every week, got supporters all over the world and are about to be taken over by a billionaire. Oh and they’re only 2 points behind us.
The pitch looks good
Wouldn’t know, haven’t seen it yet this season.
You can have the rest.
