hanging in there but set pieces look only hope as in open play we are poor.1 man up so easy for Rubin back 4.Is Macmanaman on the pitch ? Defending for goal was laughable.Just got to avoid the killer 2nd and hope to pinch something .
7 November 2013 at 10:51 pm #123264Excellent 2nd half…well done lads.Crossbar and more composed finish by Fortune and it could have been a great result.Still away goal drought .Please Dave dig us out a finisher in January !!!
7 November 2013 at 10:57 pm #123266Yes good performance.
Bear in mind Kazan haven’t conceded at home in Europe for 7 games was it?….others with more firepower than us haven’t scored there.
We expected nowt, but the goal difference didn’t take a hammering.
I blame that crossbar…from Russia with love indeed….
Just hoping Maribor don’t win B)

8 November 2013 at 2:05 am #123292Thought that was a really brave performance in a notoriously difficult place to travel. We could and should have come away with at least a point and Powell was a class above anything on the pitch when he came on. Play anything like in the last two games and we should be fine to progress.
8 November 2013 at 4:21 am #123296We may have a good chance at home but what threat do we pose away?
Yeovil offers a great chance to end the bad run, but all the first team squad have made the long trip to Kazan, and most have made an appearance there.
Many Premier League teams have lost the game following a trip into Europe. We can’t take a goal for granted, or any points either.
8 November 2013 at 4:47 am #123297Coyle will be back in his office around noon, tomorrow. Why not make an appointment to put him right, oh tactical genius? The plan, so I’m told, is that Coyle and the team will be landing in Bristol tomorrow and staying overnight * before the game at Yeovil.
* They must be staying two nights, Friday and Saturday.
To be fair, you don’t have to be a tactical genius to recognise that there is something wrong if you go nine away games in a row without a goal. Our play doesn’t create enough chances in front of goal, and our forwards find it difficult to take them. If Wigan have someone to make a special plan to reach Yeovil, surely they should have someone who can show them the way to goal too.
Curiosity corner; My mum used to play hockey on the pitches next to Huish, home of Yeovil’s famous sloping pitch. They weren’t allowed to use whistles on Saturday afternoon as these could be heard on the football ground. Yeovil have since moved to a new ground, Huish Park.

8 November 2013 at 12:23 pm #123305Happy with that display. Bit of poor defending (Crainey gets the blame for me) cost us.
