FA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that
Hey up.
Cheers Jason for highlighting this as we’re on the final straight with less than week to go. It’s really building up to be a beltin’ night with a good cross-section of people attending. All coming together in aid of a very worthy cause indeed.
Just to let everyone know that the music on the night will be an ‘across the board’ set of Soul. Right from those Youth Club memories of the 70’s (for those that are young enough, ha ha!!), classic Northern Soul from the Wigan Casino, Torch, Twisted Wheel and Blackpool Mecca era’s, current floor-fillers around the Allnighters and clubs of today, the best of the Motown Sound (both popular classics and some rarer beauties that have been hidden away for years) up to a great selection of the more Modern and recent soul. Even the most die-hard heavy rocker will be tapping their feet, hee hee!!
So bring it on and I know the usual motto of us Soulies is “Keep The Faith” but don’t keep it, spread it.
Looking forward to catching up with those of you who I know and meeting those of you who I don’t.

Ladies and gents,
Thanks for buying tickets for Friday night and thanks for supporting Bernard’s charity, we’ve already raised over £300 in advance ticket sales and donations.
I hope that you don’t mind but we won’t be sending tickets out as it will cost money to produce and post them out. I hope this does not cause an issue – we think it would be better if all the money went directly to the cause.
In terms of gaining entry, I will put a guest list together and your names will be on it along with the number of tickets you have bought, so just say your name upon arrival and if you have bought tickets for others arriving separately, please tell them to do the same.
Once again, thanks for your support and I am sure Bernard will be thanking everyone on the night and writing to you separately to thank you afterwards
