In the last 8 seasons only one team has got 90 points and not got promoted. Some seasons and quite a few mid 80s was enough.
I reckon all three this year will get into the 90s and one of us will miss out.
Not a lot we can do about it if that happens and were the unlucky ones.
17 March 2018 at 10:17 pm #167511Be a sickener but nothing we could do about it.
That season Nob End finished on over 90 and walked the play offs.17 March 2018 at 11:15 pm #167512Be a sickener but nothing we could do about it.
That season Nob End finished on over 90 and walked the play offs. But we don’t do play offs well, do we?
17 March 2018 at 11:16 pm #167513Why talk about luck?
We have the best squad in the division. The only reason we wouldn’t go up is if management didn’t get the best out of the resources given to them. Too many poor draws have been brushed off as decent results. Given the points haul of our rivals, it’s clear anything other than 3pts is a bad day at the office.

Disagree if we get over 90 points I reckon the management have got the best out of them but it will be bad luck and a freak of a season not to go up. Same applies to our rivals too.

Precisely gl, if we don’t claim an automatic spot we will not go up.
18 March 2018 at 12:54 am #167517Would be surprising if all three of us ended up with a 90 point tally.
Blackburn seem to be the team in form at the moment, so look favourites at the moment to win the league.
Shrewsbury keep grinding out results (even though they are a boring team to watch) so should be there or there abouts.
We are up & down at the moment so you would think we are the most likely to drop out.. But, we do have the talent to walk this league, so it’s a difficult one to call for me. Still fancy us for going up. If not as champions then as runners up.
18 March 2018 at 1:24 am #167518Our goal difference could be the fine dividing line.

We aren’t exactly brilliant to watch in the league at home either are we? Gillingham first half then when did we play other than workmanlike? Pretty boring in home games ourselves really when you weigh it up.

You are right there Sir and because of our inconsistent home form we may end up in those dreaded play-offs. Games in hand are mostly away so we may avoid the play offs.

Boring at home isn’t down to Cook, he aint no Mourinho. Boring is down to the opposition when they come and put ten men behind the ball.
Feb was our worst points to game ratio. Before that we have averaged 2+ points a month, pretty good by any standard.
I’ve seen some good football this season & spoke to supporters of other clubs who say we are the best they’ve seen.
Maybe you need to dust your passport off and get to some away games.18 March 2018 at 3:12 am #167523When teams come to the DW and go defensive its up to us to break them down surely. Slow build up play is not gonna get the job done. That’s where plan b is needed.
18 March 2018 at 3:44 am #167528Scunthorpe were far from boring and we struggled against their football.
