I’ll soon be setting off to watch my team play in the FA Cup final. It seems incredible when, as a kid back in the sixties, such an expectation was about as likely as me going to the moon. So the competition is now a poor representation of how it used to be – the SKY Premiership bandwagon has seen to that – but today I will be reminded of that kid again who sat in front of the TV from 10 o’clock onwards wanting to be part of it all.
Today that dream comes true.
Great match,great performance and a great result.
I’m was so proud of the team and tears were shed during abide with me and at the presentation.
Also must applaud the City fans. Everyone we spoke to in Wembley town,on the train back and on the Services today all said we deserved it.
Just watched 4 hours of highlights on Our Sky plus box. Adrian Childs has gone up in our estimation as it was obvious he was chuffed we won.
The romance of the cup has been restored.
