Especially with McLeish at the helm !He’s gone to the one club that could afford the fee and is prepared to give him the wages he wants. Why is everyone so shocked, it was always going to happen?
If bobby can manage to bring in a couple of decent players, my money is on Wigan to finish above a poorly managed villa.

In every way imaginable Aston Villa is a massive step up from Wigan AthleticThat said I do think that he is capable of playing for a better team but as Griff says if the indications to his agent were that only Villa were prepared to pay anything approcahing the £10mill the club wanted & the wages he wanted (& you can bet his agent has been on the phone to virtually every top flight club in Europe) then he really doesn’t have a great deal of choice
