By ‘eck, I’m glad I’m divorced and childless!!
Gotta say, though, hope you’re not shoving *all* women into that bit in bold, there must be more than one footie widower or ex out there… :D
Yes I was!!
Take the following:
Monday night – Me: “I think I might go to the Latics game on Thursday”. Her “Okay, no problem”.
This morning as BBC news was showing the champions league goals from last night – “I’ve got my ticket for Thursday night”. Her “I hope you’re joking. You were out last night refereeing & I’m not well” (she has a cough). Me “I told you about that the other night & you said it wasn’t a problem”. Her “That’s not the point”I’m pretty sure my wife is representative of the female species as a whole!!
Is she bollocks!

Pretty much so, I’d say.
I am going Thursday and have relayed this to my wife about three times in the past week. This morning I refreshed her memory and was greeted with ” why haven’t you put it on the calendar, I was thinking of doing something Thursday. ”
I nearly said that the date for divorce will be on the calendar if you carry on but I love the nagging cow. :silly:

Ah….good to see someone else’s house is run in accordance with ‘The Calendar’.
The irony is Standish, that the said calendar, is one bought for part of my birthday present. It is one of those Wigan Athletic news clippings calendars that you can buy.
24 October 2013 at 3:02 am #122621Good point. Maybe I should have said he can’t still be married.
God knows I get grief every time I go to the football, which isn’t as much as I’d like.
Unlucky.
My Mrs has a season ticket.
She also has the same taste in music as me.
I wouldn’t have married her otherwise :)
No grief in our house re the Footie.
Now DIY that’s another story ……….. ;)
Is she not very good at it then? ;)
Credit where it’s due. She did a great job painting and decorating the youngest daughters bedroom last year. ;)
