The abuse Powell took today was justified for me the fans have had a belly full of his antics, he is one lazy selfish bastard that doesn’t give a shit about the club or the supporters.
The only way people can get their point across is by venting their feelings at this bellend, that said we have Joyce to thank for that today WTF was he thinking playing him up front and leaving three strikers on the bench? At least Grigg will work his socks off!Wasnt too happy with the piss heads hurling abuse at Bogdan, i am no fan of his but at least the lad does try, anymore of these team selections from Joyce and diabolical performances and he’ll be next in line and rightly so, the fans have had enough this season already, we have seen it all before.
I wonder if Joyce ever played without a recognised striker at Man Ure?
Fuck the EFL
20 November 2016 at 12:01 pm #152532What utter nobheads we have as fans!
‘Anymore diabolical performances and team selections and he’ll be next in line’. The blokes taken on a poor squad, is looking at at all options and has just picked up a creditable point away. He has inherited Caldwell’s players, hasn’t brought in one of his own yet but is criticised by some FIFA 17 playing gobshite who finds it OK to launch his life frustrations at Nick Powell.
20 November 2016 at 2:18 pm #152535You’re right about the nobheads, anyone who is prepared to defend what we witnessed yesterday is a nobhead!
Fuck the EFL
20 November 2016 at 3:00 pm #152536Careful bullitt. You’ll end up being kicked out again.
Bigroy. I agree with you. Joyce has only been here 2 games (although IMO young sharpie was too hasty in his sacking of GC), so give the man time.
20 November 2016 at 3:47 pm #152537Thanks for the concern mate, but this is a fans forum and me being a Latics fan entitles me to air my views, nothing wrong with what i wrote just my feelings on Powell and the managers team selection.
According to some on here fans shouldn’t barrack or boo players on the pitch or have a go on a forum, so what are fans meant to do just sit back and put up with it?
You pay your money you have your say!
Fuck the EFL

You are entitled to your opinion, of course you are. What im saying is try & avoid labelling people in deogatory terms, thats all.
20 November 2016 at 6:20 pm #152539Powell didn’t pick himself. Will didn’t drop himself either.
What a complete balls has been made of this season after getting back to this level.
The momentum alone of a successful squad would have pushed us further up the league than this.
That’s without getting rid of any or bringing in any new players at all.
It’s been a cock up since before a ball was even kicked at Chester.
Yesterday going to Barnsley with no strikers and being content with a point from kick off won’t do and just adds to the balls up of a season.
Why on earth should we have been so worried about an average side (minus their best and key midfielder) like Barnsley is mind boggling.
Fans calling for two strikers and we play without any.
Nil nil again at Huddersfield is a good bet.
Fans will be hurling more abuse aimed at Sharpey next.20 November 2016 at 6:51 pm #152540Powell didn’t pick himself. Will didn’t drop himself either.

I would take a draw away from home quite happily at the moment…BUT…Simply have to be more attacking at home…2 up front for at least 1/3rd of the game (preferably when the game isnt already lost).
20 November 2016 at 7:08 pm #152541Yeah but which two? Yootha doesn’t do recognised strikers!
Fuck the EFL
20 November 2016 at 8:37 pm #152544Grigg and Davies. If it doesn’t work. What the frig, nowt else as this season.
20 November 2016 at 8:53 pm #152545The one thing that any football fan wants from players is effort to the cause, doesn’t matter how bad they are, but the thing with Powell is that you begin to wonder, is he really so susceptible to injuries or just soft and even before he went off yesterday, he didn’t seem to be interested…looks like the penny hasn’t dropped with him yet. Having said that, I can understand the frustrations with him, but the shouts yesterday were an utter disgrace, almost on a par with those so called “fans” who booed Jordi on to the field in that Stoke game a few years back.
As for Bogdan, agree totally, he is a liability but its not because he doesn’t care/try, just not good enough imo, so the cheers for him going off were even worse than the treatment of Powell
20 November 2016 at 11:07 pm #152546Never been a lover of booing your own players it does more damage than good IMO. We should never have bought Powell in the first place.
Can’t believe Joyce is getting the stick he is, it’s his second game for gods sake! He’s inherited a squad that is under performing, and some of these players let him down badly against Reading. So maybe he’s experimenting with positions / formations to help him with the players that are not contributing enough.
There must be some issues with Grigg that we’re not privy to. I’m hoping Joyce brings him back to his best as he has the potential to be good at this level.
20 November 2016 at 11:52 pm #152547Fans calling for two strikers and we play without any.
Remind me again: when did the manager’s job became a democracy?
21 November 2016 at 12:25 am #152548Democracy? Is that like when people vote and make a decision like in the referendum.
Football management isn’t a democracy but surely fans are at least allowed a say or a moan. The moaning sods who lost the referendum vote still have plenty to whinge about even after having the right to a democratic vote and losing.21 November 2016 at 12:39 am #152549In the advisory referendum, is that the one?
