Obviously none of us know whats really going on with Marco Ruben. May be its just a game of cat and mouse between clubs to see who gives in first.
As ever, all we can do is wait and admittedly I lost my rag a bit, losing it doesn’t do any good and doesn’t make or break the deal.
Tonights Wigan Evening Post seems to put a brighter outlook on the situation with Ruben and may be as its the Evening Posts first posting on the transfer, we should take more notice of this.
If the medical and all formalities really are all completed, it doesn’t look like the transfer is doomed after all:
‘According to chairman Dave Whelan, Latics agreed a ‘substantial fee’ with Villarreal for the 23-year-old Argentinian hotshot late on Monday night.
Martinez reckons Ruben possesses all the qualities of ‘an up-and-coming Carlos Tevez’, and Whelan has backed his manager’s judgement.
However, while the formalities of the deal including a medical are completed, Martinez has a game to concentrate on.’
