Like us have a pretty decent start to the season, but if you’d have asked me at the beginning of the season I would probably have thought a draw would be good at their gaff. I think now with the way we have looked (apart from the first game second half) , that we should fear no team in this league home and away… then I get the reality check of where we were just 4 months ago with just 4 contracted players…..

General consensus on the SMB is that Accy were the best side that Sunderland have faced thus far. Take it with a pinch of salt though if you want.
And feel free after the game to say they’ve been the best side you’ve faced all season.
Both us and Accrington have had a good if unexpected start to the season so I’m going for a hard fought 0-1 away win with Charlie Wyke finally getting off the mark.
I’m absolutely gutted to be missing this game but please enjoy every body and please drink responsibly.

Accrington played really well and gave 100% but totally outclassed and there is not much else you can say.
We looked like a championship team today and that was one of the best performances I have seen from a Latics team for many a year.
Only gripe is it could easily have been 8 or 9!We have still got the new lads Bennett and Kerr to make an appearance yet.Things are looking good but let’s keep our feet on the ground and keep picking up points. Up the tics !
