What a fabulous night for the Accy fans and a brilliant result against Burnley.
It is just a fantastic feeling for supporters to get one over a bigger club and this is worth so much more when the win is against a club so local.

I just wish we could take the competition serious and let us fans have a chance of feeling that amazing feeling the Accy fans have tonight.You must be a hoot at parties.We already had more “amazing feelings” than any other club like us.

Isn’t that what everyone wants for their club.I think Donny we just don’t prioritize the league cup at the min as our league status has been trying to survive or promotion for the last few seasons.Don’t get me wrong I would love to have a great cup run and if we were constantly mid table going neither way we would give much more attention to both comps but we are Latics and we don’t seem to do mundane. I just love this barmy club and everything it does be it success or failure. We may be few in numbers but we are the luckiest fookers having the crazy ride that is Wigan Athletic.
I would rather have a run in the FA Cup than the League Cup TBH and that isn’t just because we have won the thing, it is the biggest cup competition in the World.
I loved the League Cup run in 2006 and wouldn’t swap that for 2013 even if we had lost the final by the same score.
More Burnley fans than Accy fans last night, these games only come around every blue moon the stadium should have been packed to the rafters.
Well done Accy on that victory, the fans that missed it…. Tough shit!
