One of the two needs to act now,Martinez please stop playing one up front it aint working, Whelan either give martinez the funds to bring a quality striker to the club and maybe a goalkeeper, or get shut, before this season is over before xmas,

could’nt have put it better myself , not havin a go at pollit but if kirky has a lengthy injury we are knackered as for a striker we need at least 1 quality striker

Competely agree, but being realistic what odds do we have? Is Whelan going to give Martinez funds, you have more chance of getting blood out of a stone.
Does this not remind you of West Brom last year, losing but trying to play football all that counts.
I respect Martinez and want him to be the best thing to ever happen to the club but I just think we need a manager with experience. Martinez is similar in many ways to Paul Ince was at Blackburn, great in the lower leagues before arriving but shown not to have what it takes at premiership level. Having said that, with Whelan as the chairman, Alex Ferguson would struggle.
Wish we could get shut of this mon before its too late, the selfish old git is quite obviously milking us dry to ensure any money he has spent on us is returned.

Wasnt keen on martinez at the start, but whelan got what he wanted someone on the cheap, and something what the fans got excited about because he had played for us, Why they got excited was beyond me, bit like shearer, fans loved him but can he manage at the top end of football, ans no

Great post. You have got it spot on. Lets hope its not too late to turn things round so that we can survive in the Premier League.

I agree, Whelan out…..to be replaced by? Maybe we could find a local businessman to take us over and invest his money, whoever who owns Crusader Cabs or Wallpaper Supplies or one of our coach companies.

Aye, its great calling for Whelan’s head, lets find a bloke who’s got £20K in the bank to run the club…..we’d get really far then.

Don’t know what BobbysWigan personal vendetta against Whelan is all about, thats his business, but christ its boring

He just cares about our football club and can see the team being ripped to shreds and it hurts. We have been really lucky in that we have had 2 managers who had an eye for a player in Jewell and Bruce. They brought in nobodies and we have sold them for a hefty profit but we will get found out one year.

I for one quite like being in the Premiership and don’t agree that we would be better off going down. I want my club to be as good as it possibly can be but i’m not sure Whelan shares my dreams.

Should we get relegated I honestly think Whelan will sell up. I may be wrong but if I am not it will answer a lot of questions and finally put to bed this lively debate. If I am wrong however,I will hold my hand up. The club is in my opinion going backwards squad wise and I think we are going to struggle big time this season. We need to improve our home form which is currently the worst in the Prem, last season included ! With falling crowds and sub standard players replacing half decent ones we are however rapidly approaching a catch 22 scenario !

Not as daft as it sounds – a taxi firm are funding Keith Gillespie’s wages:

Ive change my mind, Whelan for Prime Minister. He would make a fantastic MP, his lies would put Maggie Thatchers to shame.
                      Theres only one Dave Whelan,

We all know what whelan as done for wafc which is great, but to all you whelan lovers, have a look what he his doing to the club, yes he does want the club debt free but surely we must be debt free by now, Just look at the team we have now, crowds dropping so fast, people laughing at the stadium name( that one doesnt really bother me) nad those things are whelans fault, If he really had the clubs interest he would get his cheque book out and spend and some of wafc money on 2-3 decent players, one of those a striker, yes we are the cheapest team to watch, but it didnt have to be that way if he hadnt put season ticket prices up as high as he did after our first season in the prem, lost a lot of fans that season as well,
