What a journey!Pardew wouldn’t touch us with a barge pole he has never had a good word to say about us. Lose on Boxing Day and it’s over surely. Not even the invisible men who run the club can accept another defeat.
Can’t see us losing to Derby somehow. Just leave out Massey and Jacobs and at least give us a chance to attack with some sort of earnest. We have plenty choices instead of those two but Cooky just seems to persist with them.
His Dunkley substitution yet again shows his lack of ambition. We need 3pts from games like that. Before game 1 would suffice but when I saw how average Rovers looked and how we dominated 1st half and large sections of 2nd then it feels like another win that got away. I think it’s going to be any 3 from 6…..and unless we turn possession into goals then we’ve reserved 1 spot.

As for Alan Pardew, I’d have gladly had him here. Done more in football than Cook ever will. But no, he would never have come here anyway.
