Don’t know if anyone saw it last night. Our chairman made a big contribution to the programme. Alan Sugar was trying to tell us something that we already know, that we pay players too much and the situation in football is crazy.
Was interesting to hear Big Dave though. He said there have been meetings between clubs in the lower part of the premiership including Bolton, Blackburn and Wolves. He stated that they had come to some kind of agreement where no more than two players in the team can earn more than £20000. Has anyone else heard about these meetings? I must have missed it or something.
Dave also stated that he had spent nearly £100 million on our club and that as we already know he is looking to give the club away in the next four years.
Don’t know why people knock big Dave as he is just trying to be realistic about the situation in football and if we go down , then so be it, at least we have someone at the helm who wants the best for Wigan Athletic.
I watched it and the gist of it was that if football continues the way it’s going then it’s fooked, Big Dave came across as talking sense I dread to think what will happen to the club when he steps down.
It’s on bbc iplayer if anyone fancies watching it.
Also i’m not dodgey rednapp said he does not know what his spurs players are earning whose he trying to kid. Martinez out
Probably doesn’t care as long as his exorbitant wages are landing in his account every payday.
Noticed on the documentary Alan Sugar didn’t question Redknapp about Portsmouth, bet he was told what questions he could ask beforehand. That left out bungs for players aswell.
