Is it just me, or does anyone else think there is something “Not Right” regarding the ‘injury’ to Alcaraz. Players come back from a broken leg quicker. Lets face it he didn’t want to come here in the first place and tried to get out of the contract after he had signed it.

I was thinking about this other day Bronx… Its been about 2 months since Martinez said they didnt want to rush him back from the groin injury picked up on international duty….
No doubt a good player who is going for free WILL get other offers, and it is understandable that he WOULD consider other offers (Wouldn’t you if you think you could get a higher wage and had no prior affiliation with Wigan Athletic whatsoever?) .. But that being said he came to Wigan.
It has been established that the majority of players WILL move for money yet he still came here.
I think Alcaraz probably is just injured.. Although it does seem slightly suspicious, But I don’t think this link is the answer to anything, just a normal statement for a good player to make.
Hopefully Lord Levesons recommendations are implimented so journalists speculating wont be able to try to pass their nonsense off as fact.

In Alcaraz’s words his move here became complicated after his performances in the world cup.
I would imagine he had a lot more interest in his services than when he had decided to put pen to paper with us before putting in the performance he did.
But the fact is the clubs swift statement afterwards said that actually he has signed a contract and will be joining us for the start of the season.
Its not a conspiracy and hardly out of the realm of possibility that a footballer got his head turned by the sniff of a few extra $ signs is it!
Back in 9 days according to this. Caldwell wont be ready for Saturday but may well be back for Everton game, whilst Ramis is 50-50 for Norwich !
