Is it just me or is Alexis Sanchez coming across as purely money orientated, showing his true colours I think. If the papers are right & he wants a 20m signing on fee & his agent wants 5m then I’m inclined to say well done City for dropping your interest.
I think when he first came to England he turned Liverpool down for Arsenal as he wanted to win things? But I’m sure Arsenal paid him more? might be wrong with that one.
Don’t get me wrong we would all naturally want the best for yourself financially. But he’s already a millionaire, City offered him 250k a week and a real chance of winning trophies at that club…. Greedy bar steward..
If UTD do get him then I reckon they just might have the same issue’s as Arsenal in a couple of years time.
16 January 2018 at 5:52 pm #165119Modern football. Look at the crap Tevez has come out with about being on holiday.
16 January 2018 at 5:55 pm #165120Thing is Jimmy City wanted to pay 45 mill for him in the summer but that moron Wenger and Arsenal showed unbelievable arrogance thinking he would sign another contract with them when it was made crystal clear he wanted to leave. They constantly let contracts run down giving the player all the trump cards. If I was Sanchez I would screw Arsenal up by staying till June then get a monstrous signing on fee from one of the clubs desperate to sign him. Also putting paid to any chance of Arsenal bringing in the likes of Mikhatarian as part of the deal. City offered 25 mill Utd will pay a lot more than that and put another dent in the career of a young promising English player. I would let Utd have him and waste more of their budget on another forward to go with the half a dozen others they already have. Cristiano Ronaldo may soon be on the market and though he ain’t much longer to last at the top he could still be a great buy short term.
18 January 2018 at 9:36 am #165174Sanchez is gonna cost the scumbags over 180 million quid.
111 million wages
35 million to Arsenal
20 million signing on fee to Sanchez
10 million to his agentIs anybody surprised City pulled out of the deal? And just how desperate and pathetic are the despicable media darlings to pay so much.

Are you? Be made up with Walcott then.
Alexis Sanchez? I’d sooner have Alexis Colby.

He’s paying for it now though as he’s got a really poor side at the moment with more to leave. Reckon they’ll be nowhere near the top four this season.
Jose is all about now (and himself) and he won’t give two hoots about how much they pay as he’ll be desperate to win something. Unbelievable amounts of money..

I don’t think Utd realise just what the implications of this will be. Sanchez is a good player but he is not up among the greats. De Gea,s contract is up at the end of next season so you can bet he wants a similar wage to Sanchez and the likes of Pogba and Lukaku will all want massive pay rises. Every window they are linked with Ronaldo and Bale so how much do you reckon these guys are now gonna demand. This action is a disaster for football and all we can hope for is that it explodes spectacularly in their faces.

It all totally goes against the stance United used to take, they wouldn’t break their salary cap at all under Ferguson.
Mourinho is a great manager…. When he can spend hundreds of millions. But then again, so would you or I be. Yes, he’s desperate to win something. However, sanchez or no sanchez, they’re still miles behind City and probably in the long term behind Liverpool too. I expect them to be biggest challenger to city next season.
20 January 2018 at 3:18 pm #165223Liverpool always flatter to deceive, how much did they pay for the Southampton defender? They’ve probably spent more than Man U and will inverably finish behind them again. If there is any team desperate to win something it’s Liverpool.
From Matlock to ManU

I wonder what cap doffing Jeff Stelling thinks about these immoral figures particularly with the news Hartlepool are in a spot of financial brown stuff.
