After 42 years watching the Tics; that feels like an all time low ! Just hope some of the players read this blog and realise how disgusted we are with their performance and commitment. I can remember Johnny King and Albert Jackson having pain killing injections before battering Shrewsbury in the F.A Cup; proper commitment, not like the mamby pamby prima donnas in our team today ! At least we had some freaking fight in our hearts !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If I were big Dave, I refuse to pay their bloody wages !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good points, but not too sure today is our ‘all time low’. Top flight low, most definitely, as I’m sure today is WORSE than us getting done 9-1 at Spurs. Spurs….very good side, pushing for the top. Blackpool? No. Should NEVER have happened. Never ever. Today should of been like that day we went to Charlton, in our first top-flight season. Early on in the season, we got beat 1-0, but it should of been 3 at least. WE should of been like Charlton were that day, against the newly promoted team. We should of sent Blackpool away worrying about the rest of the season. But no. Typical Latics.

I think any team on top of their game, would of beat us today. Seriously. I feel there are some real problems behind the scenes, as the players body language was shocking.

Canvey Island is still the sickener for me tbh

41 yrs for me and until last season I had never once been embarrassed by this club I love Wigan Athletic dearly and it hurts like f…..g hell to see them being made a laughing stock. I fear there are many more disasters ahead of us until changes are made. To lose so heavily against a team like Blackpool and be totally outplayed is incomprehensible. So much is wrong with us at the moment it is impossible to see how we turn it round. I only hope and prey it doesnt go on for too much longer. Please mr Whelan end the hell us fans are going through and do whatever is necessary to stop these all too often embarrassments.

In a weird sort of way I actually think yesterday was worse than Canvey Island.

I take my hat off to everyone who continues to pay good money to watch displays like yesterdays, week in and week out. I was back in the UK a couple of weeks ago and had a walk around the stadium. I don’t mind admitting that I got a little bit emotional. It was my first visit back home since emigrating 3 years ago and I realised how much I missed “my” team. In a few weeks the season would start and I’d be missing being at the ground, again. Having watched almost every game live on Foxtel last season I was convinced that we couldn’t get any worse. Sadly, last night,we actually looked worse than last season (with the notable exception of Stam). Misplaced passes, 2nd to the ball, incredibly poor set pieces and what appeared to be a total lack of passion was evident all over the pitch. The icing on the cake was when the Australian commentators on Foxtels version of MOTD started laughing and taking the p!ss out of us. Wonderful.

I was in Malaga when we played Portsmouth away in our first Premier League Season. Watching it on the TV in a bar owned by an Everton supporter we went 1-0 up. Having scored we kept running and running at Portsmouth. The owner of the bar said to me “you lot just don’t understand this premier league thing do you? You score, you’re meant to sit back for a while and protect your lead. You lot are playing like you did in the Championship. You’ll get hammered”. I remember watching some great attacking football that year and apart from a copule of 4 nils I don’t recall getting really “hammered”. I know times have changed and I know we have to adapt but yesterday Blackpool played like we did in our first season in the Premier League.

They just don’t get this Premier League thing do they ?

That was a Premier League low, we were awful on Saturday, but even worse there was no passion and fight from the players…..that at whatever level is unforgivable. All time low for me was the PNE game at Springfield Park when we had a 2 sheet programme and Bobby Charlton came over the tannoy at half time to appeal to supporters to save the club….it looked like we were going to go out of business that week

And chipping in my pocket money to pay Stan McEwans wages, that was a low….. I do remember a dull away defeat to Rochdale (Midweek) in the Neil Rimmer era..

Never mind the past lets concentrate on the now ( not that WE can do anything ! ) There is something wrong, seriously wrong and unless things dont pick up anon then I fear that this fairytale ( Or nightmare ) is coming to an end this season ! One can only punch above their weight for so long ya know and all things must come to an end ! I would still go on if we went down but what bothers me is my £300 ( nearly ) that I have splashed out this year ! :x

Yes, but your HMHB tickets were only £17 each, and that is a real treat for you this year.
